Fully automatic machining centre for PE and PP manifold pipes
AMM 630
The highly efficient all-in-one solution for the automated and precise mass production of complex pipe manifolds.
The new RIEXINGER AMM 630 is revolutionising the manufacture of PE and PP manifold pipes. As a fully automatic specialised machine, it handles the entire workflow, from the precise milling of the core holes right through to the final welding of the outlets.
Whether for seawater desalination, geothermal energy or modern cooling systems: thanks to cutting-edge control technology, the AMM 630 can perform both fully automatic saddle welding and conventional socket welding of outlets in a single clamping operation. Operation remains extremely simple and requires absolutely no knowledge of CNC or CAD/CAM.
Versatile in use – a strong presence across various sectors
The RIEXINGER AMM 630 is specifically designed to meet the high quality and throughput requirements of modern infrastructure and industrial projects:
- Cooling systems for data centres (Data Centre Cooling)
- Geothermal energy & geothermal systems
- Seawater desalination & large-scale water treatment
- Pitch heating systems for sports facilities and new stadium construction
- Chemical industry and complex industrial pipework
Highlights & Your benefits
Fully automatic saddle welding up to 5 kN
Maximum reliability during saddle welding. Whilst competing robotic systems are limited by their design to applying only low forces, the AMM 630 guarantees an enormous welding force of 5,000 N. This includes fully automatic oxide layer removal for absolutely reproducible, top-quality joints.
Enormous capacity
Maximum flexibility in terms of dimensions. The AMM 630 covers an extremely wide range of production applications: it processes main pipes with diameters ranging from Da 32 mm to Da 630 mm and total lengths of up to 10 metres, and welds branch pipes fully automatically up to a diameter of Da 315 mm.
Flexible socket connection
Maximum versatility in the joining process. In addition to saddle welding, the system is also capable of performing precise, position-controlled sleeve welding of branch pipes. The two welding methods can also be reliably combined in a single, fully automatic and force-controlled process.
Plug & Play operation
Maximum simplicity in practice. The entire machining centre is programmed and controlled intuitively via a robust touchscreen. The machine operator requires no CNC knowledge whatsoever for the entire process, nor any time-consuming CAD/CAM preparation.
- Automatic tolerance compensation: An integrated, automatic pipe curvature compensation system ensures precise milling and welding results, even in the face of unavoidable material tolerances.
- Integrated outlet pipe magazine: The flexible magazine accommodates various types and sizes of outlet pipes and ensures an uninterrupted, automated material flow.
- Comprehensive documentation: Perfectly equipped for Industry 4.0 thanks to direct welding data documentation via the MES system and an integrated printer for component labels located directly on the machine.
Tailored to your production needs
Every manufacturing environment is different. As specialists in custom machine construction, we can, of course, customise the AMM 630 to your specific requirements and material workflows on request.
‘Good to know’ – Background information for practical application
To ensure a permanently tight and standard-compliant connection, the AMM 630 combines two different, high-precision control modes within the same working process, controlled via the intuitive touchscreen interface:
Position-controlled socket insertion (position-controlled): During socket insertion, the machine moves the outlets to a precisely defined position in space. This guarantees a socket insertion depth accurate to the millimetre and ensures perfect dimensional accuracy of the finished pipe manifold.
Force-controlled saddle welding (pressure-controlled): When saddle welding, achieving the perfect contact pressure is crucial. The AMM 630 dynamically controls this process using an enormous welding force of up to 5,000 N (5 kN). As the plastic becomes malleable when heated, the machine applies precise and powerful pressure. Material tolerances in the main pipe are thus compensated for fully automatically. This ensures an absolutely homogeneous and leak-tight weld seam, which cannot be achieved in a way that is gentle on the material using flexible robotic systems.
