Maximum adhesion and structural integrity in high-performance composite materials.
The processing of glass-fibre-reinforced pipes and modern composite materials presents particular challenges for pipework construction. Due to the manufacturing process, GRP and composite pipes have a smooth, resin-rich outer layer. Whilst this surface seal protects the pipe during operation, it is counterproductive for achieving a permanently leak-tight adhesive bond or subsequent lamination. As this layer is extremely smooth and chemically inert, adhesives cannot form a sufficient molecular bond with it. At the same time, these brittle materials cannot be cut using conventional methods, as the fibre layers would otherwise inevitably tear and delaminate.
The EXO ReduX fibre provides the technological solution to this challenge. The system uses high-performance diamond grinding discs to machine the outer diameter precisely, in a controlled manner and in a way that is appropriate for the material. Through targeted removal, the smooth protective layer is stripped away and the surface is microscopically roughened. This greatly increases the effective bonding surface area and enables optimal mechanical interlocking with the bonding material.
The system precisely exposes the load-bearing glass fibre layer without damaging it. This ensures that the subsequent adhesive or socket joint forms an inseparable unit with the actual structure of the pipe, and that forces are transmitted reliably.

The highlights of EXO ReduX fiber
Grinding
The diamond grinding technology, which is gentle on the material, reliably prevents the dangerous tearing of glass fibres. The delicate tube structure remains completely stable and protected throughout the entire process.
Extreme wear resistance
These heavy-duty diamond abrasives have been specially developed for continuous, heavy-duty use on highly abrasive materials. They guarantee maximum service life and significantly minimise follow-up tooling costs.
Integrated dust management
Grinding GRP and composite materials produces fine dust that is hazardous to health. The integrated connection for Class M/H industrial safety vacuum cleaners ensures clean, safe working conditions on the building site and in the workshop.
